Modern site, classic feel

When we first met Borgatti's, we realized that this was no ordinary project. As a family-run company that has achieved near-mythical status for its ravioli and egg noodles, they needed a site that was slick and futureproof while still evoking the local charm of a brand that has produced fine foods since 1935.


Total Redesign

Despite a strong brand and beautiful packaging, Borgatti's was unfortunately stuck with an aging site that didn't reflect the quality of their products. While the main concern was overhauling a buggy, outdated e-commerce back-end, we also took great care to create designs that incorporated over eight decades of company - and family - history.

Clever e-Commerce

Shipping perishable products via multiple carriers required intelligent back-end logic, and the implementation of a number of tools that routed different products based on numerous factors, including recipient delivery zone, the proportions of the package, and the need for refrigeration. We also introduced multiple parallel payment gateways, giving customers a wide range of options, including Stripe and G Pay.


Simple Maintenance

With an ever-evolving product range and regularly updated recipes from the Borgatti family archive, the site required options for easy maintenance. We created numerous custom fields and repurposable page templates so that new products, bundles, video content, and recipes can be pushed live in a matter of minutes without touching a single line of code.
